a Christmas recap. Things are a bit out of order on the blog but I do plan on updating about our Christmas. Below are updates on Lily's birthday party. I hope to get around to blogging about our Christmas soon.

She's 1!

I started to have a little bit of panic when I realized in mid December that Lily was only two weeks away from her birthday. I started thinking about Marshall's first birthday when he was 9 months old. Oh...how things change with the second baby! I was determined from the time she was born to make Christmas and her birthday two separate events. I didn't want them to be lumped together, which I think is easy to do when it is so close to Christmas. So...I got myself into party mode and decided to do a pink party for our sweet girly girl. It was so fun to plan a girl party. And the best part...she was a doll baby and loved her cake! She was very dainty about sticking her fingers in the icing but she did enjoy it. Happy Birthday to our sweet Lulu! She has brought such joy to our family.

We love you sweet girl!

Christmas Pictures

I'm a little late in sharing these but I wanted to go ahead and document my babies in their Christmas outfits. It's still hard to believe that this was Lily's first Christmas. It just feels like we have always had her.

I think they are both all done with pictures at this point...

a fort

Marshall loves to build forts, I think all little boys do! My mom organized Operation Christmas Child at our church and there were a whole bunch of leftover boxes so she delivered them to our house for Marshall to have. He immediately knew what he was going to build. He built his fort and then asked if he could take his nap in it. He didn't sleep much that day but he was quiet.
