Egg Hunt at Pop and Loni's
We celebrated Easter a little early due to various travel schedules among family members. My mom and dad always do an egg hunt for the kids. Some eggs have candy and some have money. Marshall was so concerned that he would only find eggs with money and he really didn't want the money eggs, just the candy eggs. I explained that he could buy some candy with the money and that satisfied him. The boys were so excited and Lily seemed to enjoy herself too. My mom had special pink eggs just for Lily in the grass and the boys knew not to touch those eggs. I love that we have family so close and am grateful for the time and energy they pour into my children. Thanks mom and dad! The kids had a blast and always do.

egg hunt
There's a church just a couple of miles from our house that was having a community egg hunt on Saturday morning. We took the kids thinking they would have a great time. They did have a great time but I'm just not sure why they called it an egg hunt. The kids hunted for empty eggs and then had to give the eggs back. Later Marshall told me that was e-nnoying.
The kids enjoyed coloring and then hunting eggs. Lily actually really colored. I had tried letting her color but she always ate the crayons and I haven't tried it again with her for quite some time. My dad gave her a couple of crayons and she did really well. She kept looking back at him and smiling. She was so happy and didn't want to leave his lap.

happiest baby I have ever met
picnic in the front yard
I decided to have a picnic in the front yard one day after getting Marshall from school. The weather was beautiful and the kids loved eating outside. Love these two babies, such blessings.

He is such a loving big brother and she loves him for it.
A true southerner! He first asked me to get him a sweatshirt and then curled up under the blankets because he was "so cold." It was at least 65 degrees.

and…she walks
We thought the day would never come. Lily sure took her time getting up on those feet and walking. She had been taking a step or two but would then sit down and crawl to wherever she wanted to go. One Friday night our church had an FCA fundraiser where they offered childcare for five dollars per child. You better believe we were there! When we dropped the kids off we told the workers that Lily was 14 months old but not walking. When we picked her up they informed us that she was "walking all over." We assumed she had taken a step or two as she had been doing at home. Scott set her down and she walked across the room to me. She is now strictly a walker. We're so proud of our Lily girl…and she's pretty proud too!

new bike
We got Marshall a bike for Christmas and he has really enjoyed getting out and riding. I snapped some pictures the first time he went out to give his new wheels a try. (We are no longer wearing puffer vests and sweatshirts, these were taken when the weather was much cooler. I'm trying get the blog caught up with real life.)

catching up…again
I have the best intentions to keep the blog updated and I always fall behind. Here's a quick recap of the going-ons at the Crawford house with photos to go with it.
Marshall always wants to dress himself. Some days are better than others. And then there are some days when he comes out with his shirt on inside out and his pants backwards. I love age 3! There is something so charming about wonky clothes and shoes.
Sweet Lily girl had her first set of real piggies and looked adorable in them. She also figured out how to get up to where her brother was eating his breakfast and steal some toast.
Marshall had his second broken wrist in 2 months. The first break was his right wrist, the cast was removed on December 15th. The second break occurred on January 18th to his left wrist. He handled the cast, x-rays, and doctor visits like a real champ.
