how i was able to get some things done
Most days Marshall really enjoys me playing with him. On most days, I really enjoy getting down on the floor and playing with him. He's really tons of fun and never ceases to crack me up. However, there are some days that my home requires a bit of my attention. Last Friday was one of those days. I was fortunate that Marshall independently went to the coloring basket, pulled out his markers and coloring books, and began to quietly color for about 45 minutes. As I cleaned the kitchen and he colored, he would occasionally look up at me and say, "not color on the wall, color on paper." I appreciated that he was reminding himself of that little rule. There was enough cleaning to do in my house without the chore of washing the walls added to the list.

I love that he still has chubby baby hands. I think it may be the only "baby" piece I have left. I'll be sad when he actually has real knuckles and not the sweet little dimple knuckles.

School Party
Marshall's little class had a Halloween party last Thursday. They performed three songs with motions and then filled up on sweets. Marshall was pretty excited about wearing his costume to school despite the nasty humidity we had that day. He endured the song and dance only because he knew that treats were to follow. The treats were really much more important to him. I think he made the cutest little zebra. I wasn't sure how he would handle the hood but he actually loved it!
The important stuff!
