birthday boy

We had a small birthday celebration for Marshall on Friday evening. He had a blast playing with a few of his buddies, swimming, eating too many sweets, and opening presents.

He was a little unsure about everyone singing Happy Birthday to him.
He wasn't unsure when it came to opening presents. He was all over that!

playing

While we were at the beach my mom and dad found a playground about a half mile from the house they rented. We decided to take the kids over one morning before heading to the beach. They had a fun time and the playground was so great!

While we were there we noticed a kid's summer camp taking place. I asked one of the counselores about it just out of curiosity. I was shocked when she told me the camp ran from 9-1 Monday-Friday and the cost was only $35 per week! I sure wish we had something like that in our area. I'm pretty sure their taxes more than make up for it though!

Beach 2010

My mom and dad rented a house in Charleston for the family. We had a week of sand and surf. When we first arrived Marshall ran straight to the water. I was a little surprised, but he loved it. He rolled around and rode the waves back to the sand. He most enjoyed building sand castles with his cousins. Actually, he enjoyed watching them build castles and then he liked to "squash" them. His cousins weren't as excited about that as he was.

The next several posts are extremely heavy on the pictures. I had so many favorites, I just decided to do several posts with just pictures.

Upset because he face planted in the sand and he couldn't get the sand out of his mouth. Nothing his Poppy couldn't make better.
