15 months

Lily girl had her 15 month appointment yesterday and she continues to be on the small side with the exception of her head. Apparently, our kids have huge noggins.

weight: 22 pounds (60th percentile)
height: 30 inches (37th percentile)
head: 40 cm (84th percentile)

Lulu,
You are a joy and we love you so much. Baby girl, you're the best-you have a huge smile that can light up a room. Keep smiling sweet girl!

Easter

I love Easter and all that we celebrate.  Marshall is really starting to understand the significance of this day and we have enjoyed the conversations and questions we have had and received from him.
A few Easter pictures before we left for church:

The best we could get of two of them. It's almost impossible to get a good one of both of them at the same time.  Maybe one day...

The cuzzies!
A true success, all of them are looking at the camera and almost everyone is smiling.  Poor Charlie was ready for a nap…but seriously, look at the cuteness of all those bow ties.

Dollywood

We took off to our favorite Dollywood for the kids' spring break.  It is so great for the ages of all the kids.  There is a separate area with some of the smaller rides that Marshall and Lily are able to ride.  We always get there right when they open, stay a few hours and then head back to the cabin for afternoon naps then go back again in the evening.  This time we also went to the Dixie Stampede, think Medieval Times rodeo style.  We head so much fun and Marshall LOVED seeing all the horses.  We always have such a great time when we're there and leave looking forward to the next time we can go back.

Marshall enjoyed giving his sister and his dad a ride on the old fashioned cars.  Scott said Lily just danced to the oldies that were playing on the radio.

She thought she was so big riding on the carousel.

thumbs-up

First time on the "Shooting Star."  I thought he would chicken out and feel too scared but he hopped right in his seat and rode it over and over again.

Love those little hands up in the air.  The boy LOVES rides.

pure joy

Lily's face just about sums up how she feels about Dollywood.  We all feel that way about it!

Egg Hunt at Pop and Loni's

We celebrated Easter a little early due to various travel schedules among family members.  My mom and dad always do an egg hunt for the kids.  Some eggs have candy and some have money.  Marshall was so concerned that he would only find eggs with money and he really didn't want the money eggs, just the candy eggs.  I explained that he could buy some candy with the money and that satisfied him.  The boys were so excited and Lily seemed to enjoy herself too.  My mom had special pink eggs just for Lily in the grass and the boys knew not to touch those eggs.  I love that we have family so close and am grateful for the time and energy they pour into my children.  Thanks mom and dad!  The kids had a blast and always do.

egg hunt

There's a church just a couple of miles from our house that was having a community egg hunt on Saturday morning.  We took the kids thinking they would have a great time.  They did have a great time but I'm just not sure why they called it an egg hunt.  The kids hunted for empty eggs and then had to give the eggs back.  Later Marshall told me that was e-nnoying.

The kids enjoyed coloring and then hunting eggs.  Lily actually really colored.  I had tried letting her color but she always ate the crayons and I haven't tried it again with her for quite some time.  My dad gave her a couple of crayons and she did really well.  She kept looking back at him and smiling.  She was so happy and didn't want to leave his lap.

happiest baby I have ever met

I know she's mine and I am totally biased but the girl is so happy. She brings such joy to our family. I also think her eyes are beautiful. :)

picnic in the front yard

I decided to have a picnic in the front yard one day after getting Marshall from school. The weather was beautiful and the kids loved eating outside. Love these two babies, such blessings.

He is such a loving big brother and she loves him for it.

A true southerner! He first asked me to get him a sweatshirt and then curled up under the blankets because he was "so cold." It was at least 65 degrees.
