birthday

Marshall's school year started at the beginning of September. That same week a little girl in his class celebrated her birthday. His teachers make a big deal about birthdays with crowns, birthday pins, presents, cupcakes, singing etc. Well...my little guy has a birthday in mid August. Not exactly conducive to a celebration at school with his friends. He has been asking since last September if I could make cupcakes for his class so they could sing "happy birfday" to him. His teacher allowed students with summer birthdays (there were only two) to celebrate the last week of school. He was giddy with excitement and he made a special request for green cupcakes...but of course!

donuts for dad

Marshall's class had Donuts for Dad at the end of the school year. He was very excited that his daddy was coming into his classroom to have donuts with him. They both enjoyed this special day.

Baby Dedication

I have some major catching up to do. Lots more updates coming soon! But for now, here are a few pictures from Lily's baby dedication which was back on Mother's Day. I am SO far behind. I will be getting this little bloggy blog caught up this weekend, but for now, my children would like to eat breakfast. Enjoy these few pics from our special day with our special girl.

bed head

The pictures clearly speak for themselves. I couldn't stop laughing when he wandered into our room one morning with severe bed head.

4 months

Sweet girl will be 5 months soon and I realized I hadn't done her 4 month post. Boy, things sure change with the second baby. We are so lucky that she is an easy baby.

I took her to the doctor last Monday.

4 month stats:
weight: 14 pounds 15.5 ounces (75th percentile) This was Marshall's exact weight at 2 months!
length: 24 inches (50th percentile)
head: don't know exact measurement (60th percentile)

Lily Girl is such a happy little muffin. She rarely cries and almost always greets you with a smile. We love our sweet girl so much and are truly blessed to have her. I really never knew a baby could be so good, she's a keeper for sure.

my mo

I have really noticed big changes in Marshall in the last few months. He is really seeming so much older lately. He can still be wild and crazy and playful and imaginative, but he also has some mature moments where Scott and I look at each other and just say, "when did he get so big?" I really do wish I could slow the hands of time and enjoy the toddler time just a little longer. Each day a bit more of the toddler seems to fade and it's replaced by a bit more boy.

Here are a few pictures of our big boy enjoying some of his favorite things right now.
