for documentation sake
Marshall and I had a very sweet time of snuggling, talking and praying tonight after we got home from church. He has started asking a lot more questions about Jesus and heaven, and Jesus living in our heart. He sometimes doesn't quite understand how Jesus lives in your heart if he lives in heaven. We tried to explain that his spirit comes to live and dwell in our heart. My mom and dad have a movie about horses called "Spirit." He thought that was hilarious. Apparently he pictured the wild horse named Spirit living in his heart. We are counting on his understanding getting better as he gets older. :) Tonight's prayer was sweet, innocent and precious and I just want to be able to remember it. Dear Jesus, Thank you for my mommy. Thank you for my daddy. Thank you for my sister. Thank you for my Marshall. Thank you for heaven. I want to go there with my mommy. I don't like it when she leaves me. Amen We continued to snuggle and then he folded his hands and said, "I want to talk to God another minute." Dear God, Thank you for Jesus. He is the King. Amen I need to add that he has the most awesome teacher in his classroom on Sunday mornings. Krystal, if you are reading this, we appreciate you so much. You are making a lasting impression on Marshall. We have had a lot of good conversations with him after he has been with you.

cloth diapered cutie
We made the switch to cloth diapers. I started cloth diapering Lily at the beginning of this week. So far, so good. I'm hoping we can do it for the long haul. I do have two rules about this cloth diapering journey: 1. no cloth diapers on Sunday (I just don't think that's fair to the nursery workers.) 2. no cloth diapers when we are traveling
So, for the most part this sweet booty will be in cloth!
Aren't cloth diapers so cute?

bath time
Lily is such a content baby. We are blessed that she is generally just a happy, good natured girl. She especially loves the bath. I can't believe it took us this long to get pics of her in the tubby. To be honest though, poor girl hardly ever gets a bath. How dirty can she really be? Aside from the spit-up in her neck creases, she's not THAT dirty!
sleepover
Marshall has been asking to have a sleepover with his cousins for several weeks. We weren't sure how they would all do in the same room. I put them to bed around 8:15 knowing that they would stay up and talk for a bit. Marshall was the chattiest of all. By 9:00 they were quiet and asleep. I call that a success. They all slept until about 7:00, not bad considering three boys were sharing a room and one was sleeping on a palate on the floor. The cutest moment came that morning when Sam sat the littles down and read to them. I must say that Sam as an AWESOME reader! I was so impressed with his reading ability.
It was a fun night for these "brother" cousins. They really are more like brothers than cousins.
