single ladies dance party

Sam and Jack went to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie and have loved dancing with the Chipettes. Marshall has now become a fan of the Chipette's version of Single Ladies. When he gets in the mood to dance he asks for, "uh-uh-oh, uh-uh-uh-oh." I pull it up on you tube and the three boys get their dance moves on. Jack even invented a new dance move that he named, "the butterfly flap." Marshall really just likes to bop and pivot. Sam, well I don't really know how to explain his moves, but the boy has got some good ones. He especially enjoys doing the lawnmower! I took a minute to snap a few pics of Marshall getting down during one of these dance sessions. These boys are pure joy.

santa came to town

Santa happened to show up at Tom and Staci's house one evening while we were over there. He even left Sam and Jack an early Christmas gift, The Elf on the Shelf. The boys were very excited to see Santa Clause in their house. Marshall gave Santa the same reaction he had given a few weeks earlier when he sat on his lap. Let's just say he is not yet a fan.

He wanted nothing to do with him, that might have been different had he known it was really Pop.
that is an all out ugly cry!

Holly Wild

Last week we went to Holly Wild. There are lights and animals that you feed from your car, and at the end of the route there is a bonfire and petting zoo. Marshall loved all the lights and music but hated the animals approaching our car. I hated the animals sticking their heads in the car too. The ostrich was especially scary to him, I guess he's never seen a bird that big before. He loved the petting zoo and bonfire. I think next year he might like the animals a little better, I don't think my opinion will change in a year, however.
