Nothing makes me happier...

than seeing my baby enjoying books. I love sitting down to read with him, especially when he just totally relaxes and reclines in my arms. While I do enjoy reading to him I also love that he has started to enjoy books on his own. Many times throughout the day he goes over to his book basket, plops down, and looks through some of his favorite books. Today he was especially enjoying his, "My Little Texas ABC" book (thanks Grandma)! I mean he was really digging this book today. Check it out.

This is classic: the book is upside down but he doesn't care or seem to notice.

Downward Dog

This would make his Aunt Rae so proud! Rae is a yoga instructor and the "downward dog" is a yoga pose that happens to be Marshall's favorite. He does this move all the time, even when he is in the baby pool at Pop and Loni's house.

It seems he is happiest when he is upside down.

Tubing

Last Sunday we spent the afternoon on the lake. It was fun to get out there and do some knee boarding and tubing. Marshall had his first tubing experience. I was a little let down by his lack of enthusiasm for water sports. His face never changed the whole time we were out there together. I am hoping next year he will at least crack a smile. He was pretty serious the whole time.

Watching the boats with daddy. He LOVES boats!

Notice the lack of enthusiasm (from him, not me, I am clearly happy about taking him tubing).

Can You Blame Him?

Dunkin' Donuts does make the BEST mocha latte ever! Marshall and I have a slight addiction. I'll share my mocha latte with this sweet boy any day of the week.

Dancing

Our little stud loves to hear music. Whenever it comes on he likes to shake his booty. Have fun watching. (Pause the music)

SO BIG!!!!!!

Since Marshall is getting so big we taught him to hold his hands up above his head when asked, "How big are you?" He has really got it down. Once football season starts we can teach him to do the same move when he hears the word "touchdown!"

Our next trick will be "sic' em bears." Stay tuned for that.
