A New (Christmas) Toy

I-pa and Nana bought Marshall this sit-to-stand walker toy. I have been rotating toys in and out in order to not have toys overtake our living room (though some pictures would suggest otherwise) and also to give him some variety in the toys he is offered. Marshall has been starting to pull up on one of his other toys so I thought it was a good time to put this toy together and see how he did. I had it in the sit position first and he pulled up to his knees and strated to get on his feet. I switched to the stand position and it was like he knew exactly what to do. It is so neat to watch him figure things out for himself!

On his knees ready to take it a step further.

This look says, "Dad, back up, I got this."

standing on his own

"See, I told you Dad!"

What to Wear?

Thanks for all my new spring clothes Loni and Pop! Hey Pop, I really know that Loni does all the shopping. ;)

He's really eyeing the basketball outfit.

I think the basketball jersey is the winner!

He Won!!!

Thanks to all who voted for Marshall on Tiffiney's blog. We found out last week that Marshall won the photo contest. Go Marsh-Man!!! All you Texas family got some serious votes for our little guy. He wouldn't have been able to pull out the win without you. Thanks!

Haircut

Marshall got his first real haircut this weekend. Stay tuned for pictures! Don't worry, nothing too dramatic, I couldn't bring myself to cut too much off his baby locks.

Kick Back and Relax

My mom and dad invited us over for dinner the other night and by the time we had finished it was close to Marshall's bedtime. I had undressed him to eat dinner because he tends to be messy (he actually could destroy a shirt in one meal). I didn't want to redress him just to undress him and bathe him once we were home. I stuck him in the stroller in just his diaper and apparently he found it quite realxing. Check out how he rode home! I ran in the house to grab the camera once we got home, it turns out I didn't need to run. He stayed in the same position while I went and started the bath and got his jammies ready. I love this boy!
